Heart to Heart

Heart to Heart Mission Statement

“Heart to Heart exists to pair women of different generations together for the purpose of intentionally walking through life, sharing wisdom and promoting spiritual growth while supporting one another.”

It is our desire to see women deepen their personal relationship with God, invest time and effort into other women who want to grow spiritually, recognize and use their God-given gifts to build up the church in unity and love, and to train future generations of women to pass on their faith to others.

The Details

    • Heart to Heart is a 9 month program running Sept-May, starting with required training on Aug 27 from 2-4pm. In this training we will go over the expectations and details of the program in much more detail. Childcare will be available for those who need it (advanced reservations for childcare is required by August 20th).
    • To participate you must fill out a questionnaire. The leadership will pray over these and use them to match mentors and mentees together. Questionnaires will be available online or you can pick up a paper copy at the welcome desk and turn it into the church office.
    • Pairs are expected to meet once a month from Sept-May. You can use monthly discussion guides we provide (covering fruits of the Spirit) or you are free to read a book or do a Bible study together.
    • Someone from the Heart to Heart leadership team will check in on each pair periodically to see how things are going and provide support if needed.

Mentor Description

  • A Heart to Heart Mentor is a woman who wants to provide guidance to another woman as she grows in their understanding of what it means to follow Jesus, be transformed by Jesus, and fulfill their part in the mission of Jesus. Mentors are guides who have travelled the path before, learned along the way, and are willing to assist others. They rely on Jesus rather than themselves using Scripture as the authority for their lives.
  • Mentors must be a member of Simonton Community Church.
