Our Ladies’ Dinner guest speaker is Ginger Gilbert Ravella.  Ginger is a military wife, mother of five, widow, a writer, and a national speaker.  She is the widow of Major Troy Gilbert, an Air Force F-16 pilot who gave his life while saving twenty Special Operation soldiers during Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Her private pain became front-page news due to the tragic  events surrounding her husband’s death.  Ginger now shares her heart-wrenching story of loss and hope.  Her openly genuine testimony of wrestling with God in the midst of despair and depression resonates with those who question their faith in the face of tragedy.  Ginger has appeared on several news venues including “The O’Reilly Factor”, “Fox and Friends News”, as well as numerous radio programs and magazine publications.  Ginger is the Director of the Speakers Bureau for The Folds of Honor, a non-profit charity that raises educational funds for fallen and wounded soldiers’ families.  She is remarried to another widower, Colonel Jim Ravella, who serves as the President of the Folds of Honor Foundation.  They have recently written an upcoming biography to encourage anyone who seeks peace in life’s times of suffering. Ginger and Jim currently reside in San Antonio, TX.
