Children’s Ministry

Volunteer to help or teach in Children’s Church, LIFE Studies or in the nursery! We have the opportunity to make a difference in the next generation by teaching them about God’s love. Volunteers serve on a rotating schedule.All volunteers working with our children must go through our "Safe & Secure" program and a background check. Contact Melissa Little.

 

Coffee

Make coffee and maintain the coffee bar on Sunday mornings. Coffee is made before LIFE Studies and refreshed as needed before the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service. Contact Jeana Jankowski.

 

Communion

Prepare communion on a rotating basis. Communion Sunday is the first Sunday of each month. Contact Jeana Jankowski.

 

Greeters

A smile is all that is needed! Greeters stand at the entry doors and are the first person to welcome someone to SCC as they arrive. You may also help with visitor questions. Shifts vary and volunteers may choose which time frame works best for them. Contact Jeana Jankowski.

 

Missions

Serve with us as needs arise with our Covenant Partners or within our local community. Various opportunities will be announced throughout the year. Contact Pastor Chris.

 

Pastoral Care

Provide a meal to families experiencing a special need. Pastoral Care may also help provide desserts/light food for funerals and may help with funeral receptions as needed. Contact Lisa Welborn.

 

Wednesday Dinner

On Wednesday evenings we offer a dinner for those attending Bible studies and activities. Volunteers are needed on a rotating basis to help with setup, serving or cleanup (for a few minutes before classes begin). Contact Lisa Welborn.

 

Ushers

Assist with the offering, count attendance, help people find seats and other needs that arise during the Worship Service. Volunteers commit to a month of Sundays and choose either the 8:30 or 11:00 a.m. Worship Service. Contact Pastor Steve Littlefield.

 

Welcome Desk

Help greet and answer questions as people come by the Welcome Desk located in the Foyer. Updated information is provided to you each week to help you answer questions. Rotate one Sunday per month for a brief shift at 9:30 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. Contact Lisa Welborn.

 

Youth Ministry

Adult Volunteers are needed to help with various Youth events. All volunteers working with our students must go through our "Safe & Secure" program and a background check. Contact Pastor Kenny Johnson

 

 

Note: Some of our ministries require volunteers to be members of Simonton Community Church.
